Black and White

Taking a break from editing last weekends pair of weddings...  thought it would be fun to do a blog post on one of my favorite forms of photography....  ageless Black and White.

I started doing photography seriously back in 1986 before digital was even a glimmer in an inventors eye.  I had a darkroom and spent hour upon hour fine tuning black and whites into the best they could possibly be...  color filters over lenses to alter the finished look...  want a darker sky on a sunny day.. add a yellow filter...  want it even more pronounced... add a red filter.  Green filters for foliage...  multi contrast printing paper.. dodging and burning...  these were all part of my everyday life.

Those years made B&W in the digital age a snap.

A few faves from recent shoots! (click on a pic to make them larger)
