Spring at Furman in HDR

I was over at Furman shooting a bridal portrait for an upcoming wedding at their amazing chapel...  I happened to see a killer sunset coming on with a nearby tree in full bloom...  couldn't resist a few fast shots.

Alllllllllmost Fall Colors.

My son wanted to go fishing today for his teacher workday....  I figured it was a great chance to spend some time along some mountain streams and shoot the fall colors.  Well fall is apparently either a flop this year or hasn't peaked yet....  Regardless - the weather was great and I like the shots even if they aren't screaming fall colors just yet.

Note to self... clean your sensor.  I must have been shooting in a dust storm this past weekend.  Lots of clicks to go before these pass final inspection.

Columbia SC

This weekend I have a Sunday wedding with an amazing couple in Columbia SC.  I ended up down a day early for the rehearsal with a few hours of down time so I went out to play tourist.  Didn't have the best skies for the type of photography I wanted to do so I improvised a bit and came up with some pretty cool shots.

Taking my son on a trip through my youth.

I just had a 5 day excursion with my son through the backroads of TN and NC hunting for salamanders and crawfish.  Along the way we saw some amazing wildlife that did not live in the streams and some amazing scenery.  All pictures in this post were taken with the little Nikon point and shoot that Ashton Kutcher advertises for... The Nikon 1

I discovered that I don't have the energy to be a five year old!
